Types of quality review

There are two main types of quality review (QR):

Structured walkthrough

This should be a formal meeting where normally the product author is present. Walkthroughs tend to look for "technical" errors, such as failure to adhere to standards

Validation and verification:

The product is taken away for independent "destruction testing"

• Validation:
• Does the product do what it should do?
• Are we building the right product?
• Verification:
• Does the product work properly?
• Are we building the product right?
