- Program Committee of the WEBIST International Conference on Web Information Systems and Technologies, since 2005.
Reviewing
I have been reviewing for a variety of journals and conferences since 1999. Although it can be a real burden sometimes, I actually quite enjoy reviewing.
I have recently taken part in a reviewing process where each of the reviewers was able to see all of the other reviews and there was also a dialogue area for discussions. This is an excellent approach and one which I would have found very useful at the beginning of my reviewing career. Even now it is reassuring to know that I didn't miss anything too obvious in my reviews!
Among the conferences and journals I have reviewed for are:
- British HCI Group Annual Conference.
- WEBIST International Conference on Web Information Systems and Technologies.
- International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction.
- IADIS International Conference WWW/Internet.
- IASTED International Conference on Communications, Internet and Information Technology.
- Interacting with Computers.
- Journal of Visual Communication.
- New Media & Society.
- The Journal of Community Informatics.
- The New Review of Hypermedia and Multimedia.
- European Conference on Digital Libraries.
- ACM CHI conference (short papers).
- Information and Software Technology.
- International Journal of Human-Computer Studies.
- Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences.
