Dave Farthing works in the Information Systems Division, and lectures in:

• systems analysis and design:
• IS2S551 Information Systems Analysis and Design 2 (HND) (from 2012-13);
• information systems management:
• IS2S21 Information Systems Management (BSc/HND);
• IS4S705 Strategic IS Governance (MSc);
• IS3S03 E-commerce Systems & Strategy (BSc);
• project management:
  • IS4S706 Project Management & Research Management (MSc).

• using modern technology to map developing countries;
• disaster preparedness in developing countries;
• educational issues, such as open learning, multiple choice questions etc;
• the types of notation used when designing information systems.

Dave is the Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Degree.

• Final year module choices.
• Final year timetables:
  • Select "Student Group Timetable";
  • Make sure "Filter by Faculty" is set to "AT";
  • for most awards look for "your award name - BSc - Year 3";
  • for Computer Science/Studies look for "Computer Studies - BSc - Year 3" and your initials (surname first)
    • for example, Tom Smith studying Computer Science should look for "Computer Studies - BSc - Year 3 - ST";
    • if you didn't submit a module choice form on time you may have to work out your own timetable by looking at each module's timetable.
