My interests include Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Functional Programming. I am currently researching for a PhD entitled "A Computational Model of How Students Learn to Program" (pretty ambitious, eh!). I am particularly interested in how a human programs in a functional manner (no side effects) using Common LISP. I am using a first class tool : the Apple Macintosh.
Reading was a main interest of mine until I undertook my PhD ;-) but I enjoy listening to music. Another interest is Genealogy, and I am descended from William IV of England. Unfortunately, via one of his ten illegitimate children! I am a Cardiff City Football Club fan, and very sad at the moment.
