Day 2 (Thursday, 5 July):
Clinical Applications of Thermal Imaging

  • 10.00-10.15 Film: exposure to hot and cold
  • 10.15-11.15 Principles of thermal physiology 2 (KA)
  • 11.15-11.35 Break
  • 11.35-12.05 Provocation tests (FR, KA)
  • 12.05-12.45 Standard protocol for image capture (FR)
  • 13.00-14.15 Lunch
  • 14.15-14.30 CTHERM software introduction (PP)
  • 14.30-15.30 Parallel sessions, two groups:
    • Film (Living body- thermoregulation)
    • Practical Lab image capture in J150
  • 15.30-15.45 Break
  • 15.45-16.45 Causes of temperature increase (KA)
  • 16.45-17.30 Causes of temperature decrease (KA)
  • 19:00 Course Dinner

Day 3 (Friday, 6July):
Practical session capturing and analysing images

  • 09.15-09.50 Producing a thermographic report (KA)
  • 09.50-10.10 Discussion of above

  • 10.30-13.00 Practical Session in J113:
    • Demonstration of CTHERM software (PP)
    • Using CTHERM software on images taken on day 2 and guided image analysis (FR/KA)

  • 14.00-14.15 Archive CD of thermographic papers demo (PP)
  • 14.15-15.00 Future developments in thermal imaging (FR)

Registration Fee

Accommodation

Inexpensive campus accommodation is available for participants without own transport who would like to stay at the University. Check-in after 14:00. If you plan to arrive late in the evening, please let us know.

There are also some Hotels and B&Bs nearby (contact details and prices on request, see booking form) for those with a car.

 

Certificate

The course is recognised by the University of Glamorgan and certificates will be issued to all who complete the course.
