Workshop Objectives and Topics of Interest

The workshop on Wireless and Mobile Security will be held in conjunction with NGMAST 2008. As Mobile and Wireless networks are becoming increasingly prevalent, the problem of ensuring that those networks are secure is an increasingly important issue. The issue of securing the different types of mobile and wireless networks, their operation and use is the focus of this workshop. The security issue is a central concern for achieving secured communication in the large variety of current networks from the well-known cellular networks to non-infrastructure wireless networks such as mobile ad hoc networks.

Mobile and Wireless Networking environments eliminate many of the problems associated with traditional wired networks. However, the security and privacy risks introduced by such environments need to be addressed by exploiting appropriate security measures and techniques.

By organising this 1st Wireless & Mobile Security Workshop, it is our intention to bring together and provide an international forum for this research community. In this line, the workshop programme covers various aspects of these technologies including but not limited to:
